Custom Seat Cover Materials
Updates!
Testing my new custom seat cushion
So if you read my post about how uncomfortable the seats are in my 2009 Subaru Forester XT are, you understand where this is coming from. See here: http://bloggerboon.com/2009/12/11/subaru-forester-seat-comfort-problem/
Well I’m sick of sitting on a $3.00 walmart pillow that moves around when I get up and sit down. Not to mention I look like a complete fool. I get comments, “Sooo Boon, I see you were sitting on a pillow in your car, what happened to you last night?”… Very funny….
So I bought some high density foam and some cheap fabric so that I can make a pattern for a real good looking seat cover. My local fabric shop also has very high quality vinyl material made for covering snowmobile and ATV seats. Its very rugged and wont crack in freezing temperatures and the color matches my cars interior perfectly. So after I have my pattern I will make the final product out of that vinyl material. Who knows, I might start selling them if people want them. I know I’m not the only one that thinks the Forester’s seats are terrible.
So a while ago I was having trouble finding my niche… See my old post here… And I did decide on a good idea for a blog. I was combining my passion for skiing with my passion for bodybuilding… But it didn’t really work out. In terms of SEO it wasnt a good idea because It was hard to show up for either skiing or bodybuilding results.. I also very quickly began to run out of things to blog about in terms of skiing, and pretty much only had bodybuilding ideas.

So I made a new blog. Its called “BodyBuilding Boon” at http://bodybuildingboon.com, It’s where I am documenting my transformation from skinny twig guy to muscular stud (lol)… Having a blog to document everything is really helping me push myself and I hope eventually it becomes a resource for other skinny guys who are having trouble gaining weight. There are a ton of sites out there dedicated to weight loss. There are a ton of sites out there dedicated to bodybuilding, but a lot of them seem to be created for the sole purpose of selling a product, either that or they have some secret solution that you need to purchase to see… Well I’ll be keeping my blog, free, clean, and everything will be really straight forward. It will be an honest to goodness bodybuilding resource for skinny guys (hopefully haha!).. So if you are skinny or lacking in muscle, or maybe have tried getting into shape before but have failed because it seems like not matter what you do you fail, check it out and maybe subscribe to it.

playing the sims in class
Lots of people bring their laptops to class, but what are they really doing on them? Are they taking notes? probably not. Most of the time its facebook, email, myspace, shopping, reading blogs, etc… But heres a new one. This girl decided that she needed to care for her Virtual Sim Family right in the middle of “Modern East Asian History“. I even had to take a photo of this ridicules event.
I thought this was insane, why bother even showing up to class. Its hard to see from this crappy cell phone picture, but the girl on the left is indeed playing The Sims 3 on her laptop right in the middle of our class lecture. What an idiot.

multitouch pc touchpad
So there are a few neat features that Macbooks have that can make PC users a little jealous. One of those features is the multitouch trackpad mouse that Macbooks have. But its actually pretty easy to get this multi touch software on your PC laptop / notebook now, here’s how. Windows 7 is definitely compatible, however older versions of windows should work too.
If you have a PC chances are (almost 100%) that Synaptics makes the drivers and software for your touch pad. You can visit Synaptics.com and download a software upgrade for your touch pad called “Scrybe” multitouch gesture technology. Its Free. Depending on how refined your touch pad hardware is, combined with how powerful your computers processing power is your multitouch experience will either be laggy, buggy and poor, or terrific.
Download the software here: http://www.uscrybe.com/
On my Sony Vaio with an Nvidia 310m Graphics Card, Core i5 Processor, and electrostatic touch pad, I get great results. No its not 100% as smooth as my buddies macbook, but the two finger scrolling and gesture image rotation work very well. I’m not a fan of the pinch zoom because its extremely hard to fine tune the zoom level and almost impossible to get the screen back to the original zoom level, so I have it disabled….
Instructions
Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Mouse -> Device Settings -> Settings and then expand the Multifinger Gestures menu. When you select a gesture a video also demonstrates the hand movement in case you are doing it wrong.
Yes that’s another great part about the Synaptics Scrybe multitouch software. It allows you to enable or disable certain gestures so you can only have the ones activated that work well / or are what you want. For example, a few times I accidentally used the pinch zoom feature when I didn’t want to which made my text shrink to what seemed like size 0, so I just disabled that feature.
