So out with that nasty old pillow I got at walmart. It was getting lumpy and becoming a real pain in the ass… A LONG time ago I posted that I was going to manufacture my own seat cushion that would fit better, be very comfortable, and match the interior of the car, well I finally got my hands on a sewing machine and did it!

Unfortunately I didn’t document it very well with pictures… but basically I used really cheap fabric to trace the shape of the factory seat cushion and then cut it out of the fabric. I used this as a pattern for where to cut on the vinyl material. I cut out a top shape, and a long strip for the “side” of the cushion. and I just used the cheap fabric for the bottom.

I chose this Grey vinyl material because it would allow me to slide on and off the cushion easily when I was getting in and out of the car, and the fabric bottom would hold it in place a little… Plus its easier to clean and wont absorb fart smells. This is also really expensive stuff, $16 a yard, but its supposed to withstand freezing temperatures as well as high summer heat. (Its made for ATV / Snowmobile seats). The high density foam (as mentioned in the planning stage, the big green thing) has been working out very well. I used the same pattern I made earlier to cut the foam to the correct shape. This stuff was insane at over $30 a yard. Its 6″ thick foam I believe, and its VERY comfortable. Seems like it will last a long time too.

It looks kind of sketchy but when you sit on it it pulls tighter and looks good. Part of the reason is that I didn’t use any pins and used only eye-sight for measuring pieces during the sewing phase so nothing lines up perfectly LOL.

No one has noticed it really, where everyone noticed the jankey walmart pillow. My dad said “This is the most comfortable seat cushion I have ever used” and he thought I bought it somewhere lol. Anyways, I LOVE it, my hip and back pain has been completely alleviated. I used it for a 10 hour journey not 2 weeks ago and it was GREAT! It is literally the saving grace of this vehicle.

So my boss wants me to start “social networking” the business more effectively… We’ve got the facebook page, but now what, how the hell do I get strangers to “like us” or even better, how do I get potential clients to know about us through facebook? Well I don’t have the answers to those questions so I made my boss buy me a new book. “The Facebook Era” by Clara Shih. I’m just starting it tonight and I plan to get through most, if not all of it during memorial day weekend (this weekend).

I’m really excited to get started with it. We got it on Amazon.com.

Well if George Bush was in the white house (and if he was a democrat), maybe…. After 911 it wasn’t long before the liberals jumped into the whole conspiracy thing that allowed George Bush to push his Middle East Oil Digging Dirty Energy Agenda into gear with the War in Iraq (not making any conspiracy claims here folks). How long will it be before we see the Conservatives (err hard core republicans) saying this whole BP oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico was a conspiracy set up by Obama so he could push his clean energy agenda… It may seem stupid (but so does the 911 conspiracy to most people), but I bet we’ll see it come out, somewhere, probably from Fox News, Sarah Palin works over there these days doesnt she?

Who invented Marshmallows and what are they made of? Why don’t we turn to trusty Wikipedia and ask them?

Well first thing’s first. Wikipedia, who invented Marshmallows?

Invented in the year 1955 by scientist Alfred A. Nobel, these food items are light and fluffy, and vary in size. Nobel invented these strange and wonderful food sources while trying to make a sugar square. The only difference is the shape, and the one main ingredient- cat. Marshmallows are actually made from a mixture of sugar, and ground up cat. Many people do not know this, but the Noble Society is a group of people that do. Also unknown to most people is that Alfred Nobel s children are all named after marshmallows. In the popular movie ghostbusters, also, one of his oldest children starred as the Marshmallow Monster. Alfred Nobel did invent the Nobel Prize, but most people know him for his creation of the marshmallow.

Well that’s very interesting I had no idea.

I wonder what are typical flavors and ingredients of Marshmallows?

Some of the new popular flavors of marshmallow that are currently on the market include: Sugar. Extra Sugar. Super Sugar. Frog. Glass. (For goths, there is also blood flavored marshmallows. One of the more popular flavors is toasted coconut. This features marshmallows with an outer layer of lightly toasted coconut.
